History - Building a Family Business
After serving a four-year stint in the United States Coast Guard, Russ Veeser returned home in 1965 to pursue a career in the plumbing industry. Russ studied and received on-the-job training for five years before earning his Journeyman Plumber’s License. He went on to work as a journeyman plumber for 15 years. When Russ earned a Master Plumber’s License in 1985, he and his wife Sherry launched their own business—Russ Veeser Plumbing. They ran their company out of their home, using their basement as both an office and a showroom. Their 36- x 107-foot garage served as the shop and storage area. In 1989 Russ expanded the business by taking on projects installing sewer and water laterals. The business grew quickly, and in 1993 Russ Veeser Plumbing & Construction, Inc. moved to its present location in the I-43 Industrial Park. In our new 10,000-square-foot facility we have office and shop space as well as a registered Kohler Showroom displaying a wide range of plumbing products, countertops, and cabinetry. We’re proud to say we now have two generations of the Veeser family delivering excellent service to our customers. Brad joined the company in 1993, earned his Journeyman Plumber’s License five years later, and is currently working on his Master Plumber’s License. In 1995 Brent also came on board, and he has since earned his Journeyman Plumber’s License. Bart joined the company too and is in his fifth-year apprenticeship. All three sons have learned from one of the leading plumbing and construction contractors in northeastern Wisconsin!
